Caring is in
our nature.
Kinloch Rannoch is a remote Highland community. It’s unspoiled, unhurried and healthful, and we strive to keep it that way, playing our part to preserve its natural beauty for generations to come. Look around the village and things appear picture-postcard perfect. But life in rural communities presents unique challenges. At Dunalastair, striving to be one of the leading eco-hotels in Scotland means looking after both planet and people.
We draw many visitors to the area – overnight domestic tourism spend increased by £57 million in the two years since our doors opened. Crucially, we encourage them to use local businesses while they’re with us. Taking our role as a local economic multiplier seriously, we’ve also become one of the area’s largest employers. 35 local people now have permanent jobs thanks in part to our apprenticeship programme, and we provide rehabilitation employment through the Better Community Business Network. It’s just one of several charity organisations we support.
