What is it?

“The Biggest Ceilidh in the Highlands” – A highlight of any Scottish break in Pitlochry with a 50-year, the Pitlochry Highland Nights are a summer-long season of events celebrating the joys of traditional Scottish music, country dancing, and entertainment.

With the famed Vale of Atholl Pipe Band leading the festivities, Highland Dancers, local singers and the Vale of Atholl Junior Band join forces to deliver a magical, memorable evening for both local residents and those visiting as part of their holiday in Scotland.

More than just a show, those attending the Pitlochry Highland Nights are invited to join in the fun each week by marching along with the Atholl Pipe Band in the opening and closing performances.

Where is it?

A 40 minute drive through the scenic Scottish Highlands from the Dunalastair Hotel Suites near Pitlochry, the procession begins in the town’s Main Street and moves onto the Pitlochry Recreation Ground, where guests are welcome to stay for this one-of-a-kind evening of authentic Scottish music, culture, and heritage.

When is it?

The Pitlochry Highland Nights take place every Monday evening from the end of May through to the first Monday in September.

Gates open at 7.15pm, with the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band starting their first march five minutes later, and the main show beginning at 7.45pm.

Tickets cost £6 for adults and just £1 for children, making it an affordable night out on your family-friendly holiday in Scotland.
