December 30th: The Warmest of Welcomes from Your Dedicated Guest Ambassador
If there’s one thing we really recommend to help you make the most of your New Year’s getaway – it’s that you take your time driving up to see us on December 30th.
After all, that’s the best way to take in and truly appreciate the spectacular scenery that surrounds you as you wind your way through the idyllic Scottish Highlands.
Soft blankets of snow rest gently on the ancient pine trees that stand, bold and proud, on the edge of mystical, enchanted forests as tranquil lochs glisten in the sunlight. The snow falls further, over rolling hills and deep valleys, over breathtaking vistas the likes of which you simply won’t find anywhere else, and finally, over the rugged, weathered face of the mighty Schiehallion Mountain that overlooks our hotel.
Take it all in as you make your way to us, then step out of the cod and into the warmest of greetings from your Guest Ambassador, who will be on hand with a toasty, traditional winter drink.
After breezing through check-in, you’ll be shown to your boutique hotel suite, where exquisite comfort and contemporary elegance meet with a timeless sense of style and luxury to leave you feeling like royalty.
Afternoon Tea at Monadh Dining: What the Holidays Were Made For
If you can bear to leave the remarkable comfort, quality and convenience of your suite behind for a while, you’re welcome to join us for one of our signature afternoon teas in the hotel lounge – the perfect way to relax and unwind after the long drive and get your New Year’s break off to a wonderful start.
Later, we cordially invite you to join us in our own fine-dining restaurant, Monadh Dining, where a delectable three-course candlelit dinner will be served.
December 31st: A New Year’s Eve to Remember
Spend the night enjoying the kind of perfectly peaceful night’s sleep that dreams are made of courtesy of our premium quality bespoke mattresses with 10,000-count air pockets, custom-made exclusively for Dunalastair Hotel Suites and adorned in the finest blend of Egyptian cotton.
When you’re ready, be sure to join us for a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast, or choose from one of our vegetarian and vegan options, before spending the day at your leisure.
Maybe you’ll enjoy a gentle stroll around the village of Kinloch Rannoch, stopping for a moment to save the peace and quiet to be found down at Loch Rannoch, or maybe you fancy spending the last day of the year on an epic adventure, exploring the nearby fells with a good, hardy hike.

Let the Celebrations Begin
However you decide to spend the day, make sure you’re ready for 7 pm, when our Hogmanay celebrations begin.
We’ll start with celebratory drinks and enchanting light entertainment before moving onto Monadh Dining for the pièce de résistance of our New Year’s Eve getaway package:
A set five-course menu, lovingly prepared by our talented chefs using only the finest, in-season ingredients sourced from local providers.
After dinner, our light entertainment continues in the lounge, though if you feel like enjoying a truly authentic Scottish Highland Hogmanay, simply take your complimentary ticket for the annual Ceilidh over to the village hall and dance the night away in true Scotland style.
January 1st: A Relaxing Start to 2019
Just because it’s your last day with us, that doesn’t mean that there’s any need to rush.
On New Year’s Day, we’ll be swapping breakfast for brunch so you can hang up our specially designed ‘Do Not Disturb’ signs and start 2019 with a wonderfully long lie-in.
When you’re ready, come and join us for brunch any time up to 12 noon before allowing us to bid you a fond farewell, at least until Christmas and New Year 2019.
